In forty readings, the New Testament breaks down into manageable chunks that easily can be digested in a day.Begin on Ash Wednesday, and continue until the Saturday before Easter. Traditionally, fasting (or Lenten projects) abate on Sundays, which is the Lord's day. No readings are given for Sundays during Lent.
